DAKAR RALLY
image

"I have now competed in the Dakar five times and for the last two Rallies I have been using Pivot Pegz.

I was amazed how comfortable they felt especially as the sort of riding I do where I have to ride for up to twelve hours standing up on the pegs.

The beauty of Pivot Pegz is the pivot, I did not have to keep adjusting my feet especially when moving backward and forwards the pegs go with you.

As for reliability I cannot fault them in the two years I have been using them there has not been one fault not a spring failure……..nothing not bad considering they are having a real good thrashing in some extreme conditions and terrain. The rally covers some 10,000 kilometres.

I am so impressed not only do I have them on my Rally bike but also my training bikes and have recommended them to many other riders.

This product is one you can put onto your bike and forget about them they are sturdy and extremely reliable."

"I LOVE the Pivot Pegz. Riding on this latest trip from Seattle to Tierra del Fuego on a R1200GS Adventure I have been standing a lot on the pegs, sometimes all day. Without Pivot Pegz my feet would have been very tired, but with Pivot Pegz this was much better. I really like the way that they pivot, it feels very natural and is extremely comfortable. At the first I thought this was going to be very strange, but immediately I got used to the pivot action and have enjoyed using these for many years now. Greetings from Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina."Kind Regards, HELGE PEDERSEN

FELIPE PROHENS - PRO DAKAR RACER
image

A 20th outright finish in the 2010 Dakar rally clearly demonstrates the speed, skill and capabilities of Chilean Pro rider Felipe Prohens. Felipe had seen and heard about Pivot Pegz and wanted to test them, below are his test results:

"Loved them!..... the first test was on my enduro bike (Honda CRF450X) I rode on the mountains here in Chile, in places that you have to ride like in Trial, and you have to keep your balance on the bike, having the control on the pedals….. that's what I most liked about Pivot Pegz, you can pass the shifts without having to move the boot that much and without losing the balance on the bike.

On the Rally Bike, I went to the Atacama desert, and I rode like 1.500 kms on dunes, stones and dry roads. On the Rally bike, is not easy to find the rear brake and shift pedals because the gas tanks are very big and the legs go around the bike making it uncomfortable to use the rear brake and the shift pedal, but with Pivot Pegz I can easily find these pedals because I don't have to move my boot that much.

Also they give me a comfortable position of riding, because in the rallies you mostly race standing up and the wind pushes you back, it's a constant fight but with Pivot Pegz I can stand in the front part of the bike without getting to tired. I really like them, and I think there's a before and after with Pivot Pegz. For sure I will ride with them in the next Dakar and other races.

This year we have plans to race two races of the world rally championship (in Egipt and Brasil), the Dakar, Baja Score 1000 and the ISDE in Mexico."

Yours sincerely,

Felipe Prohens

JOCKE KARLSSON - MOTORCYCLE LEGEND
image

Jocke Karlsson has ridden motocross at the highest level for over 25 years and has been contracted to many professional teams finishing as high as 4th 125cc GP, 5th 250 GP and 7th 500 GP overall in the World Chamionships.

He is a former 3 times British Champion, 6 time Swedish Champion and 2 time a MX Des Nations Bronze medal winner and is now manager of the Kawasaki Sweden MX team and reining Swedish MX1 Champion.

After trying Pivot Pegz® this is what Jocke had this to say:

"Something like that can't make a difference was my first thought when I heard that there was a pivoting peg on the market, but in retrospect I couldn't have been more mistaken. The Swedish saying, "Things you've not tested yourself, you know nothing about", couldn't more clearly describe these goodies!"

"with Pivot Pegz® there's just a new world opening when you realise the impact a pair of pegs can have on your riding."

"Foot pegs aren't something that you give a second thought as most regard them as just a place to plant your feet, but with Pivot Pegz® there's just a new world opening when you realise the impact a pair of pegs can have on your riding.

Being able to always have a full contact area between boot and peg minimizes the risk of slipping off the peg, even when hanging back as far as possible over the rear fender.

Another thing that struck me because my knees are more or less scrap after 25 years of motocross riding is the risk of injury. The risk will probably become less with the forward pivot, as the larger contact area will prevent the foot to be bent outwards when hitting for example a mud pile when cornering.

Once you tried them there's no going back, plus they got a killer look!"

Best Regards,

Jocke

BEN LAWTON - TO THE CREW AT PIVOT PEGZ

I have been racing enduro’s with Pivot Pegz for over three years now and I am still in love with them.

I am currently competing in enduro’s at International, National and State level, in which I have just completed the International Six Day Enduro in Chile riding for Team Wellard Yamaha – the Pivot Pegz afforded me comfort and manoeuvrability through the tight and rocky trails for Chile for me to finish on silver.

My Pivot Pegz took some extremely harsh hits at the Six Day, on one occasion I slammed the peg at 60 odd kph into a rock (it felt like I had broken my foot!) and thought that the Pivot Pegz would have had to be bent and busted, but the Pivot Pegz did not bend at all and still performed like new.

I also find that Pivot Pegz cut down boot wear by half, which means that Pivot Pegz pretty much pay for themself, as there is no need to be replacing boot soles mid season, or worse having to buy a new pair. Another great advantage of Pivot Pegz is that I find with larger size boots (12+) it frees up the hassle of trying to get big feet around the gear lever and brake pedal. I also noticed how good Pivot Pegz are in the MUD! The amount of times my feet would slip off standard pegs from only having contact with the front or back edge of the pegs – but with the contact that Pivot Pegz provides you = problem fixed!

I would not hesitate to recommend Pivot Pegz to all riders from novice to pro, the difference is amazing!

Yours sincerely,

Ben Lawton

PERRY PITCHARD - ICE RACING CHAMPION
image

To whom it may concern,

The snow and ice performance of Pivot Pegz is nothing short of awesome. As you may or may not know, during ice racing, snow, water and ice splash up from the tires and can reduce the efficiency of foot pegs, and in some cases cause an uncomfortable feeling when your pegs are sliding on the ice and don’t fold up to eliminate the chances of a three point crash, then when they do fold up and it comes time to put your foot back on the peg again it may stay up in the folder position. With Pivot Pegz I NEVER had that problem.

The other great thing about Pivot Pegz was the fact that when using MX boots for ice riding, the soles become like bricks, Pivot Pegz always proved a great deal of grip, especially on the outside peg when you are pushing down and back really hard to keep traction during huge slides or exiting corners. Definitely a huge benefit to have during those horrible conditions.

With all that being said, I do want to add that I sharpen my pegs to keep them nasty sharp for winter use. But normally only the last few teeth on the very outer edge of the peg. Hope this helps to answer the questions of other ice racers considering using Pivot Pegz.

Quite simply I will never go back to standard pegs, EVER!

FRENCH ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP

'I was aware of the existence of Pivot Pegz, however having never encountered anyone who had used or recommended them I was naturally a little cynical of the claims for their product. The opportunity to try a pair on my KTM 450EXC soon dispelled any doubts I may have had, cornering was instantly better, the ability to keep the outside peg weighted fully whilst maintaining complete contact with the footrest resulted in a noticeably control improvement.

Initially there seemed to be little to choose between the Pivot Pegz and standard equipment when riding at high speed 'out of the saddle', however something did seem to be 'missing'. A few more laps of my normal training circuit and I realised, the shock from big hits had become much more manageable, the action of the footrest meant my ankle was no longer soaking up the forces trying to deflect the bike from its trajectory. Anything that minimises fatigue in an endurance event must be a good thing.

The off road world contains many examples of products making extravagant promises. I think Pivot Pegz are a worthwhile investment for any level of rider as they really do live up to their marketing departments claims.

TICEN RACE SUPPORT PROGRAM
image

The first time we put a set of Pivot Pegz on our bikes I was concerned about how long it would take to get used to the feel of movement of the pegs. I have to say that in about the time it takes to get up to speed on the first lap, I did not even feel like the pegs were moving. Yes they move but only in a natural way that helps with control of the bike.

You will see better transition when moving from front to back as well as whoop sections. You always have a boot flat on the peg not on the front or rear edge of stock pegs. With that in mind you will not see the same wear on your boot sole. That to me is just a little bonus because they help with control and speed on the track. They are a valuable part of our race bikes.

Ross Muinzer #553

I would like to say that I have raced for many years as a Pro and now race at the VET National level and love the Pivot Pegz product. I would trash a pair of boots half way through a season and now my boots go a entire season and still are not trashed. They also help with proper control and riding of the bike.

After you ride with them for a very short time you will not even notice that they are moving. You just feel like you are in more control and have better grip at the pegs which will allow you to put more pressure on them. The added pressure you feel like you can apply will help with cornering and overall control.

I ride for Ticen Race Support and this is the first product I ask to renew for the next season. Dollar for dollar they are more valuable than many other product riders purchase and see little to no improvement in their riding.

Donald Baker #17

I am new to the Ticen Race Support program but have had the chance to ride Ross Muinzers bike that has Pivot Pegz on it. I felt good right away on the pegs. My trainer notice right away that some of my old habits were decreased once I was riding with Pivot Pegz. I was putting way more pressure on the outside peg in corners and was able to increase my corner speed. I can not wait to get my new set on my race bike and I feel like I will go even faster. The peg will always return to center when your foot comes off the peg. Another great thing is that they have rebuild kits that allow you to rebuild these pegs for a really long life.

PIVOT PEGZ RIDER WINS NUMBER 1 PLATE
image

West Australian Pivot Pegz supported rider Daniel Strickland will carry the number one plate for season 2010 after winning a hard fought series in the premier 250F class. The fifteen year old Wellard Yamaha team rider had a fantastic season with many podiums and wins, including the prestigious Kid of the Cross and the State Championship title.

“I have been using Pivot Pegz for three years now and right from day one I knew they improved my riding, Pivot Pegz are the type of thing that though you can’t always pick what it is, they make the bike feel better. You are just more comfortable behind the bars and in the sandy conditions that we have here in W.A. they are just awesome!! Especially in the rolling whoops.

Our whole Wellard Yamaha Junior Development Team utilised Pivot Pegz this year and they certainly helped us to achieve the forty six podiums and five championships we managed to claim. To top it off with the number one plate for Allen and his guys at Pivot Pegz and the rest of our advertising partners like Yamaha, GYTR and Wellard was just the icing on the cake, further proving how good these things really are.

From my experience I can recommend bolting on a set of Pivot Pegz will improve your riding as they really make a difference.”
